CSR investment. Measurable social impact.

See the project behind the funding. RateSorter brings corporate social responsibility teams, implementing NGOs, and beneficiary communities into one evidence-based project assessment.

What a CSR project rating tells you

A CSR project rating connects the resources committed to a social project with the needs it addresses and the changes it achieves. It considers where the project operates, who benefits, the relevance of the intervention, and evidence of its outcomes.

Within a Social Investment Project (SIP), the CSR partner funds the work, the NGO delivers it, and the Social Investment Beneficiary (SIB) represents the receiving community. RateSorter evaluates their shared project rather than treating funding volume as proof of impact.

Look beyond the amount spent

Resources committed

Record allocated, spent, and unspent funds, project costs, tenure, and financial reporting. These explain the investment and its delivery.

People reached

Define the beneficiary population, its needs, and verified reach. Large beneficiary totals alone do not establish better outcomes.

Change achieved

Connect baseline conditions, targets, and actual results to measurable indicators. Support the claims with documents and field evidence.

Prepare a useful CSR project file

The exact documents depend on the organization and project. Keep financial transparency and reporting alongside the evidence of social change.

Use the rating with its supporting context

The assessment considers the project and the information supporting its reported results. Verification information provides context for interpreting a published rating.

Read the project description, evaluation period, and available supporting context alongside the final rating. A project rating supports evaluation; it does not replace an organization's due diligence or statutory responsibilities.

Questions, answered

Is a CSR project rating the same as a funding amount?

No. Funding describes the resources committed. A project rating also considers social need, the people served, project relevance, measured outcomes, and evidence.

Does RateSorter rate the CSR partner or the shared project?

The public project rating described here applies to the Social Investment Project shared by the CSR, NGO, and SIB partners. The framework also describes partner-specific assessment concepts, which should not be confused with the project score.

Does a rating certify legal CSR compliance?

A social project rating is an assessment of the project and its evidence. It is not a legal compliance certificate or a guarantee of funding.
